where to head from brisbane fruit picking

Hi there, I am currently in brisbane (working my way north) and I am wondering where my best bet to head is to make sum money fruit picking at this time of year? Also do I contact the farms first of all or the backpacker worker hostels in those rigons? your help would be really appreciated! thanks a lot, matt.
