To qualify for a second year working visa

To qualify for a second year working visa, if you decide to go fruit picking...does 3 months of work have to be consecutive months or does that matter once you work for 3 months at varying times in the first year?

It can be for varying times as long as you have the proof and the correct paperwork, alot of people will do the 3 months straight if they have the opportunity of 3 months employment.
