Noosa, a Backpackers beach paradise
Noosa is a Queensland destination attracting backpackers from all over the world. It has natural beauty, restaurants, perfect beaches for surfing, shops, adventure and a wide variety of backpacking accommodation. It is located at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, and is close to Brisbane and Brisbane Airport, it takes around 90 minutes to get there by car. Noosa has a great all year round climate, if you want to learn surfing or stand up paddle surfing this is the place to do it, because it has beautiful beaches and a scenic Headland. The conditions around this area offer the perfect opportunity to learn to surf. There are some good organised backpacking tours here, the hinterland has villages and scenic spots. Tours combine the hinterland, Glasshouse Mountains, the Ginger Factory, the Big Pineapple. A popular one day tour is to the Australia Zoo, there is also a day tour to Fraser Island. Most operators will pick you up from your backpacker accommodation. There is also beautiful National Parks, which are located on and around the headland. The mountainous hinterland of the coast is dotted with small towns, which have become increasingly popular with backpackers. Towns such as Montville, Maleny, Mapleton and Flaxton sell a variety of home made items, such as pottery, clothing, jewellery and artwork. How to get there By Air Virgin Blue and Jetstar operate to here from Sydney and Melbourne. Sunshine Express operate to here from Brisbane By Bus Greyhound Australia, Premier Motor Service and Oz Experience operate through here on their way up and down the Queensland Coast. Suncoast Pacific operate frequent services from Brisbane. By Rail (QR) The Train operates to Nambour, then there is a connecting bus.
