Magnetic Island Attractions, you have beaches bordering on rainforest.

When it comes to Magnetic Island attractions they are everywhere, Snorkeling/diving, sailing tropical islands, and reef fishing. Magnetic Island caters for backpackers, and budget tourist. Tropical North Queensland has a variety of activities and when it comes to Magnetic Island they are within close proximity of the tourist area, and backpackers accommodation.

Most Magnetic Island attractions are located in the 4 towns of magnetic island, these are listed below:

Picnic Bay refers to both a bay on the south-east corner of Magnetic Island and the island's main town. The town of Picnic Bay features an open-air shopping complex, The Picnic Bay Mall, and a patrolled beach along the waterfront. The town also hosts the Magnetic Island Golf Course, off the coast the wreck of the George Rennie is visible at low tide.

Nelly Bay is a village of Magnetic Island a tourism hub on the island, it is especially significant as the site of the ferry terminal, which links it to Townsville.

Arcadia is also home to Alma Bay and Geoffrey Bay, which are the Island's most well known beaches. It is also home to Centaur Guest House a World War 2 house built in memory of the hospital ship Centaur, and is also home to the famous Turnbull mansion which was built in the early 1900's.

Horseshoe Bay is a village on Magnetic Island, Queensland, Australia. It is considered the tourist strip of the island, it is also a major accommodation and recreation centre of Magnetic Island.

Sailing tours are available on the island, and usually depart from either Nelly Bay Harbour or Horseshoe Bay.

Jazza offers sailing and cruising water tours around the beautiful bays of Magnetic Island. The 42 foot Jazza yacht can accommodate up to 13 persons for day and sunset tours. Activities include snorkeling, trolling in the boomnet, fish feeding, learning to sail, secluded beach getaways and just relaxing and enjoying the ride. Homemade pizza and snacks are included.

Scuba diving is available on the island and there are trips out to the Great Barrier Reef leaving Magnetic Island, the diving industry plays an important role promoting Magnetic Island attractions,

Adrenalin Dive: PH (07) 4724-0600 121 Flinders St, Townsville. Adrenalin Dive offers 2 dive day trips to the Yongala departing Townsville and Magnetic Island. The base price is $179, equipment hire $35. Divers must have at least 6 logged dives, and divers with less than 15 logged dives will need to pay $30 for a guided dive.
