Fruit picking starting January 2012

Hi, my friend and I are keen to get into fruit picking mid January 2012 . We are moving from New Zealand, and are planning on following the seasons around the place. If anybody has any advice as to where we can start, and contact details, would be hugely appreciated. Thank you heaps :)
