fruit or veg picking

Hello, sorry to bother you. I am travelling Australia and currently in Tenambit,NZW, but i am heading to Mackay this coming monday 28th. And i was wondering where it would be best to go from there for fruit or veg picking this time of the year for the next 2-3 months.

You could try and contact some of the working backpacker hostels in Bowen, Tully or Atherton near Cairns, they maybe able to tell you if the farmers need workers at this point in time.
